Thelma “Christine” (Hunter) Graphman, age 92, passed away peacefully on Tuesday afternoon, March 29, 2016 at her son Jerry’s home, in Brown County. She was a resident of Brown County and a former resident of Franklin.
She was born on September 23, 1923, in Bethpage, Tennessee to the late Andrew Willie and Allie (Gray) Hunter. Christine was a 1941 graduate of Gallatin High School in Gallatin, Tennessee.
Christine retired in 1988 from Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin where she worked in Housekeeping. Prior to that, she worked for RCA in Bloomington. She was a member of the Beth Page United Methodist Church in Tennessee and the First Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Franklin. Christine was also an active member of the Franklin Senior Center. She enjoyed collecting teddy bears, sewing and crocheting and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Christine was a fan of NASCAR with Tony Stewart being her favorite driver.
She is survived by her children: Richard (Carole) Graphman of Morgantown, Wayne (Patty) Graphman of Martinsville, Jerry (Susie) Graphman of Brown County and Randy (Joni) Graphman of Converse, TX; brother, Fred (Ellie) Hunter of Indianapolis; 15 grandchildren and several great and great-great grandchildren.
Christine was preceded in death by her parents, brother James Hunterand a son, Ronnie Graphman.
The Rev. Mark Hafenbreidel will conduct a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Monday at Meredith – Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. Friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Weeping Willow Cemetery in Brown County.
