Robin Russell Obituary

Robin Deanne Russell (63, Martinsville, IN) passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on Thursday, April 4, 2024. Robin was born in Franklin, IN on December 12, 1960 to James E. and Zella (Burke) Rose. In 1979 she graduated from Franklin Community High School. She married Steven L. Russell on April 24, 1980, then in 1983 they moved to rural Martinsville, IN. Robin was a homemaker known to family and friends as the “Queen of Christmas” and the “Neighborhood Mom” touching the hearts and souls of all who knew her. She loved animals and nursed many injured and abandoned ones back to health.

Robin is survived by her husband Steven L. Russell; two sons, Joshua (Codi) Russell of Indianapolis, IN and Steele Russell of Mooresville, IN; foster son, Trampas Boynton of Baton Rouge, LA; sister Betty (Sam) Moore of Indianapolis, IN; five grandchildren, one step-granddaughter and one great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her father James E. Rose, mother Zella Rose, brother James Nelson Rose, and step-grandson Eli Brock.

A private memorial to celebrate Robin’s life will be held for family and close friends at her home. There will be no public service. Services have been entrusted to Meredith-Clark Funeral Home in Morgantown.
