Roger A. Graham, age 65, passed away all too soon on Friday, April 26, 2019. He was a resident of Bargersville.

Roger was born November 11, 1953 in Franklin, to his parents, Byron and Doris (Buchanan) Graham. He was a 1972 graduate of Franklin Community High School. Roger retired in February of 2019 from Cranewerks in Morristown, where he worked as a Vice President for the past 17 years. He was also the co-owner and operator of Graham’s Bee Works in Morgantown, where he taught classes on Bee Keeping since 1994. Roger was an auctioneer and has played Santa Clause for the past two years.

Roger was a member of the Fair Haven Christian Church, where he served as a Sunday School Teacher for the Children’s Special Needs Class; and was a former Deacon and Missions Committee Chairman. He was also a member of the Indiana State Bee Association, Indiana Auctioneers Association and served as an Esteemed Loyal Knight with the Franklin Elks Lodge 1818.

Roger was known for his cooking skills and has prepared dinner, alongside his wife Juanita, for the Veterans every Tuesday night at the Franklin Elks Lodge for the past year. He enjoyed fishing and was a fan of the television show Survivor.

Roger is survived by his mother, Doris Graham of Franklin; and his wife of 29 years, Juanita R. (Hamblen) Graham, whom he married on September 16, 1989 in Morgantown. He is also survived by his children, Roger (Angela) Graham Jr. of Port Richie, FL, Dennis (Shari) Graham of Coconut, FL, Ann (Rick) Case of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Phillip Hubbard of Trafalgar and Shelly Hubbard of Seminole, OK; and 11 grandchildren.

Roger was preceded in death by his father, Byron Graham; and brother, Larry Graham.

Pastor Brian Clark will conduct a funeral service on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Fair Haven Christian Church, 1476 W. 300 S. Franklin. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until service time on Wednesday at the church. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center in Morgantown.

Memorial contributions may be sent in honor of Roger to the Johnson County Senior Services, 731 S. State Street, Franklin, IN 46131.

My heart is so heavy in learning of your loss. He touched our lives tremendously just in one day. I will never forget the sweet gifts that you two brought for us in celebration of his life. I didnt know Roger personally, but he gave a wonderful presentation on bees at one of our JCGC meetings. I laughed and learned so much. Who knew bees were so funny! I'm very sorry for your loss. May he RIP.

When it comes to fine people, Roger was the best. Working with him was never like work. He made work fun and creative. He was also a great friend who will be terribly missed. I am so sorry Juanita.

He had so much patience. I took the beginners bee keeping class and had no idea what I was doing. All the questions I asked he answered with a smile and did not make me feel stupid at all. I respected him dearly. Juantia and Roger seemed to be the perfect couple and enjoyed what they did. My heart goes out to her and her children. He will be missed dearly.
