Dear Judy and Sam, I've been thinking of you both since I learned of Shorty's passing. These times are never easy but I hope that you are able to find comfort in the wonderful memories and experiences you have shared together. I have many fond memories myself; a little league coach, a caring parent, a Christian, a Waylon Jennings fan, a great cheerleader at athletic events, and someone that I looked up to and respected. My thoughts are with you and I pray that even though you are experiencing great sadness you may find reason to celebrate Shorty's former life as he begins his new one in heaven.

Judy, Sam and family, I was saddened to learn of the passing of 'Shorty', I remember him as a good, kind, family man. I still remember the times when Margaret and I would 'come over' for fried green tomatoes, that seems so long ago. Shorty will live on in your memory, and the memories of his many friends. God is with you, and will sustain you during this sad period. cpk

Judy, The wife and I were both surprised and saddened to learn of Shorty's passing. Please know that you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. As the Commander of the Brown County Veterans Honor Guard, I'm disappointed I'll miss Shorty's military rites, as being South for the winter precludes me from being there. I hope our Honor Guard's performance meets with your family's approval. Shorty will definitely be missed by the community. Sincerely, Rick & Donna White

Judy, I was so sad to hear that "Shorty" had died. What a tremendous man he was. I first met you both at Robbin's Drive-In and instantly fell in love with you guys. Great memories! I have the torn ear to prove it! He will be greatly missed, but we rejoice in knowing that we will meet again. Praise our Lord Jesus Christ. Let me know if you ever need anything.
