Martha L. (Lemons) Fleener, age 70 passed away peacefully on Friday morning, January 2, 2015 at the IU Health Hospice House in Bloomington. She was a resident of Martinsville.
She was born in Martinsville on August 26, 1944. Martha married Thomas W. Fleener Sr. on November 11, 1962 in Morgantown. He lovingly survives after 52 devoted years of marriage. She retired in 2006 as a laborer for Harmon-Becker Automotive in Martinsville after thirty years of service. Martha was a member of the Mount Nebo Church in Martinsville where she enjoyed singing. She was known for being able to make anything out of string or yarn. Martha enjoyed crocheting, cooking and baking.
She is survived by her son: Thomas W. Fleener Jr. of Bargersville; siblings: Leslie Lemons of Indianapolis, David Jones of Columbus and Stanley Jones of Whiteland. Martha will be remembered by her grandchildren: Jeffrey Adams of Morgantown, Jacob Aaron Fleener of Martinsville, Julie Ann Fleener and Shane Fleener both of Bargersville; great grandson: Henry Adams of Morgantown.
She was preceded in death by her mother: Emma Rose (Flake) Jones; siblings: Esther, Robert, Thomas & Roy Jones; and a daughter in law: Molly Fleener.
The Rev. Dale Paff will conduct a funeral service on Monday at 1:00 p.m. at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home on Monday. Burial will be at East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown.
