Joel "Joe" F. White, age 81 passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at his home in Brown County. He was a resident of Brown County.
Joe was born May 20, 1934 in Dubre, Kentucky, to the late Joel and Lena (Davis) White. He married Barbara (Lotshaw) White on March 19, 1987 in Nashville. She survives after 28 loving years of marriage.
Joe Retired in 1982 as a Crane Operator from Chevrolet. He enjoyed fishing, spending time in the outdoors, and logging firewood.
Joe is survived by his wife, Barbara; stepchildren: Angela Eastwood of Greenwood, Dana Steele of Brown County, Laura (Cesear) Merriquin of Cypress, Texas, Teddy (Heather) Coleman of Austin, Texas; brothers: Paul, James & Bobby White; ten grandchildren: Alicia & Douglas Eastwood, Brook Phillippe, Crystal Williams, Nicholas, Arianna, Emma, and Santiago Merriquin and Zo and Hudson Coleman and 9 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters: Vada Shepherd, Mac Clagg, Ruby Knauss and Madie Curtis; brother: Fred White and three infant siblings.
The Rev. Wayne Grace will conduct a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 26th at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be at Nebo Memorial Park in Martinsville.
