Jack W Justus

December 14, 1942 - May 27, 2014

Jack W. Justus, age 71 ended his earthly journey on Tuesday evening, May 27, 2014 at his home in Brown County Indiana. He was a former resident of Indianapolis and Greenwood.

Jack was born in Indianapolis on December 14, 1942 to the late, Wm. Theodore and Aletha (Hale) Justus. He graduated from Arsenal Technical High School in 1961 and went on to earn an Associate's Degree in History from Indiana Central College in Indianapolis. Jack married Pamela J. (Siekerman) Justus in Indianapolis on June 15, 1974. She lovingly survives after 39 devoted years of marriage.

Jack was born to be an entrepreneur and purchased his employer Hadley Electric and made it a division of his company Jack W. Justus Enterprises. He worked for more than 40 years as an electrical contractor and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union (IBEW) #481 in Indianapolis. His wife and children fondly recall the work ethic he had and the legacy he passed down to his entire family as a great provider.

Jack will be remembered for the way he loved life and lived it to the fullest. He was a 35 year member of the Irvington Masonic Lodge #666 and a member of Ducks Unlimited. He enjoyed deer & duck hunting, fishing and participating in auctions. His first love and favorite hobby was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and riding his John Deere Tractor around his 22 acres in northern Brown County. He also had a passion for animals and a love for his dogs: Peaches, Gidget and the beloved Daisy.

Friends and family alike recall precious memories of Jack as one of the most likeable people one would ever meet. He was quick with a joke and a smile and one of the most generous men you could know. He had a passion for people and for helping others and loved to bless his family and friends that way. People were drawn to him and he will be greatly missed by all.
