Carla Ann Fisher

December 29, 1950 - July 14, 2016

Carla Ann (Scrougham) Fisher, age 65, passed away Thursday morning, July 14, 2016 at the IU Health – Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. She was a resident of Avon and a former resident of Morgantown.

Carla was born December 29, 1950, in Franklin, to the late Carl E. and Minnie Alice (Boyd) Scrougham. She retired in 2002 from Airport Security at the Panama City, Florida International Airport. Prior to that, Carla worked in retail in Florida.

She was a 55 year member of the Morgantown General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn. Carla loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed reading, sewing and quilting.

Carla is survived by her husband, Thomas G. “Tom” Fisher, whom she married on April 6, 1997. She is also survived by her children, John (Annette) Spencer of Camby, Todd (Lisa) Spencer of Dunedin, FL and Michael Spencer of Avon; eight grandchildren and several siblings.

Carla was preceded in death by her first husband, John H. Spencer in 1981 and several siblings.

Bro. Jeff Bryant will conduct a funeral service at 1 p.m. on Saturday at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the funeral home.
