Charles "Charlie" C. Lawson Jr.

November 4, 1967 - October 12, 2017

Charles C. “Charlie” Lawson Jr., age 49, passed away Thursday morning, October 12, 2017 at the IU Health in Bloomington. He was a resident of Brown County.

Charlie was born November 4, 1967, in Martinsville to his parents, Charles C. and Anna R. (Mathis) Lawson Sr. He was a 1986 graduate of Brown County High School.

Charlie is survived by his mother, Anna Lawson of Brown County; companion, Melissa “Lisa” Mealer of Brown County; children, Savanah, Charles “Bubby” Lawson and Haley Lawson; siblings, William “Bill” Lawson of Gosport, Ruthann Singleton of Martinsville and Jane Childress of Indianapolis.

He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Billy Joe Lawson.

Charlie will be remembered for always wanting to help others in need and spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed working on anything that had an engine.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 19th at 3 p.m. at the Goshen Cemetery in Brown County. Friends may visit from 2 p.m. until service time on Thursday at the cemetery. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center in Morgantown.
