Wilma T. (Branam) Zink, age 95 passed on Monday morning, June 4, 2012 at the Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin. She was a resident of Morgantown.
Wilma was born July 4, 1916 in Brown County to the late William & Laura (McClary) Branam.She married Richard E. Zink on October 19, 1935 in Bloomington. He preceded her in death after 46 devoted years of marriage on October 3, 1980. Wilma was a 1934 graduate of Helmsburg High School.
She is survived by her loving children: James Richard (wife, Lindsey) Zink of Indianapolis & George Wayne (wife, Jill) Zink of Morgantown. She is also survived by a brother in law: Tom Parker of Bloomington; 12 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren & 7 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter: Juanita Parker in 2002; her identical twin sister: Thelma Richards; a granddaughter: Shelly Parker and three half brothers: Roy, Orville & Albert McGuire.
Wilma was a homemaker, a member of the Morgantown First Christian Church and attended the Cottonwood Christian Church in Brown County. She enjoyed cooking for her family, quilting, knitting & crocheting and oil painting. She also enjoyed working in her flower & vegetable gardens.
The Rev. Darrel Miller will conduct a funeral service at 1 pm Thursday at Meredith – Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry St. in Morgantown. Friends may call from 11 am until service time at the funeral home. Wilma will be laid to rest next to her husband at the Bear Creek Cemetery in Brown County.
