William F. "Bill" Sizemore, age 71, passed away on Saturday morning, January 23, 2016 at his home in Lyons.
Bill was born in Clay County, Kentucky on April 18, 1944, to the late Dewey and Mary (Napier) Sizemore. He served as a Corporal with the United States Marine Corps. during the Vietnam War. Bill married Nina L. (Harris) Sizemore on November 27, 1968 in Brown County. She preceded him in death on March 11, 2012.
He is survived by his children, William Sizemore Jr. and David Sizemore both of Switz City and Amy (Chuck) Golden of Lyons; siblings, Betty Hoskins of Morgantown and Theodore Sizemore of Nineveh; thirteen grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
Bill was preceded in death by a daughter, Faye Sizemore; siblings, America Couch, Rev. Dewey Sizemore, Aster Sizemore, Ethel Taylor and Alex Sizemore.
He was a retired Weld Inspector from Ford Motor Company in Wayne, Michigan. Bill loved spending time with his family and was a fan of the University of Kentucky Men's Basketball Team, NASCAR and Fox News. He enjoyed fishing and working on automobiles.
The Rev. Ray Napier will conduct a funeral service at 7:00 p.m. on Friday at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. Friends may call from 4 pm until service time on Friday at the funeral home. Military rites will be presented by the Martinsville American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars Honor Guards following the service on Friday. Burial will be at Polly Marcum Cemetery in Big Creek, Kentucky at a later date.
