Wayne Brown Jr., age 69 passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, January 4, 2015 at his home in Morgantown.
He was born in Cortez, Colorado on March 2, 1945 to his parents, the late Clifford Wayne and Helen Lenora (Leonard) Brown Sr. Wayne was a 1963 graduate of Tulare High School in Tulare, California. Wayne married Judy (Moore) Brown on November 25, 1973 in Las Vegas. He retired as a salesman in December of 2014 from Extreme Oxygen Products in Martinsville after five years of service. Prior to that, Wayne worked at the Best Buys Distribution Center in Franklin and as a Resident Supervisor with the Atterbury Job Corps in Edinburgh.
He is survived by his ex-wife: Judy Moore; four children: Kisha (Shawn) Clark of Ft. Smith, AR, Grace Brown of Henryetta, OK, Lawrence (Becky) Brown of Hobbs, NM and Price (LeAnn) Brown of Atoka, OK. Wayne is also survived by a brother: Mike (LaRue) Brown of Paoli; and grandchildren: Gabrielle Clark, Naomi, Sarah and Malachi Brown.
He was preceded in death by an infant daughter: Patricia Ann Brown; and siblings: Phillip Brown and Rebecca Dobbs.
Wayne was a devoted member of the Morgantown General Assembly Church of the First Born where he participated in the ministry. He was an avid reader of the Bible and enjoyed watching and collecting all types of movies. Wayne was a fan of the Denver Broncos, Indianapolis Colts and Indiana University Basketball.
Bros. Mike Day and Tom Rule will conduct a funeral service on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Morgantown General Assembly Church of the First Born, 5885 South Lick Creek Road in Morgantown. Friends may call from 4 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. Burial will be at East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown.
