Tammy L (Blanton) Johnson

December 14, 1968 - August 14, 2016

Tammy L. (Blanton) Johnson, age 47, passed away all too soon on Sunday evening, August 14, 2016 at her home in Brown County. She was a former resident of Franklin. Tammy was born in Columbus on December 14, 1968.

Tammy is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Teddy Johnson, whom she married on December 20, 1985. She is also survived by her mother, Linda K. (King) Earnest of Anderson, father, Robert (Ann) Blanton of Columbus, children, Ashley (Michael) McGrath, Brooke (Adam) Wiley and Adam C. Johnson, all of Franklin and Chysschynn Popplewell of Brown County; siblings, Marsha (Millard) Johns, Theresa (Rick) Burton, both of Anderson, Chris (Prentice Simpkins Jr.) Blanton of Austin, TX and Robert (Michelle) Blanton of Speedway; and six grandchildren, Lilly, Evan, Sophie and Jackson McGrath, Acen Wiley and Rylan Johnson.

Tammy was preceded in death by a brother, David Blanton.

She loved spending time with her family, watching soap operas and cleaning her home. Tammy will be remembered for her love of the ocean and her awesome cooking and baking.

The Rev. Justin Berger will conduct afuneral service at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown.
