I had the fortunate opportunity to get to know this beautiful lady and I am glad for that opportunity. Talton and I laughed and cried together many times. She was there for me when I lost my mother and Talton filled a whole in my heart during that loss and during the time after. I know my mom and Talton are together now and laughing at the stories they told each other during the time they spent together. I will always be grateful for knowing Talton and loving her for what she brought to my life. John, Tina, and Danny - I am so sorry for your loss. She will be missed by many. May God bless and keep you during this time of grief.

To Talton's family, I was so sorry to see her obituary in today's papar. Talton was married to my uncle, Bob Hughes, back when I was a teenager. I don't know if your family remembers our family very well but we loved Talton very much. She's the reason my grandma, Willideen Hughes, started going to church at North Liberty. And then grandma started taking my cousin, Kathy, and Bobby's little sister, Becky, and me to church with her. I am so sorry for your loss. Please know that your family will be in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Blessings, Rev. Gale Stutz P.S. Yep, I am now a pastor----thanks to my formative years in the church. Thank you, Talton!

I would like to send my deepest condolences to the family of Talton. Bobby Hughes is my uncle, and I met Talton when they were married. She most certainly had a huge impact on my life because of her passion and fire for the Lord! When Talton entered our lives I was just a teenager, and I had never met anyone like her before. She definitely made things happen and did not settle for blending into her surrounding or letting life just pass her by. She started a bible study and several of our unchurched family members attended regularly. God used her in such an awesome way in our family, leading several people to the Lord including my beloved grandparents! So in summary, Talton did the Lord's work and she touched lives...including mine!! Sincerely, Kathy Britt

Danny, Tina & John. Of all the people your mother witnessed to - her greatest longing was that her kids would keep the faith. Honor her memory and life by serving Him. She has left you the gift of knowing where you can find her in eternity... do not let Satan steal your family reunion from you. I Thessalonians 4:13-18

Wow, All the good things I can say about Talton would write a book. Talton was a wonderful woman she was very kind an thoughtful to others an loved by all that she touched. When my daughters met Talton she said Sunday school an they both wanted to go so Talton came by Sunday morning to pick them up she wanted all to learn the word of God for the youngest age to the elderly. My girls loved her. When Josh was at our home she would stop by an check on him an sit an talk about everything an the stories she told some sad some so funny you'd laugh till your belly hurt. Thanksgiving she even got me flowers for the center piece for our dinner. Talton was very thoughtful an thankful for all she had an all she gave. She will be missed by all that knew an loved her. But always think of a fun time you had with Talton that will bring smiles.. R.W.L Talton <3
