Racheal I "Ricky" Gardner

Racheal I. "Ricky" (Hamilton) Gardner, age 81 passed away Sunday evening, April 1, 2012 at her residence in Nashville.

Ricky was born July 15, 1930 in Columbus to the late Perry & Hattie (Hartwell) Hamilton. She married Paul R. Gardner in Alliance, Tennessee in 1961. He preceded her in death on November 11, 2002 after 41 loving years.

She loved spending time with children and enjoyed babysitting, shopping & cooking. She was known for her homemade baked beans and her collection of Country Bears.

Ricky is survived by her three daughters: Linda Halcomb, Lisa Gardner & Connie (husband, Keith) Patterson, all of Nashville; two sons: Joe Gardner & Dennis (wife, Norma) Gardner, both of Denver, Colorado; 10 grandchildren & 13 great grandchildren; two sisters: Ida Crispin of Bartow, FL & Hazel Lewellen of Tennessee; and one brother: Hank Hartwell of Shelbyville.

She was preceded in death by her sister: Erma Nelson; and two brothers: Perry Hamilton & Chuck Hamilton.

Ricky's wishes were to be cremated and to have a private family memorial service. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Meredith – Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center in Morgantown.
