Paula (Cole) Oxford, age 56 passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at Franciscan St. Francis in Indianapolis. She was a resident of Indianapolis.

Paula was born April 11, 1958 in Indianapolis, to John and Alberta (Shipp) Cole. She was a 1976 graduate of Ben Davis High School. Paula married Larry Oxford on February 23, 1980 in Indianapolis. He survives after 34 devoted years of marriage.

Paula worked in construction most of her life for John Cole Inc. She enjoyed gardening, tending to her flower beds, fishing and taking care of her two dogs: Iye and Lucy. Paula also enjoyed meeting new people and spending time with her family.

Paula is survived by her husband: Larry Oxford of Indianapolis; daughter: Jessica Oxford (Chris Peschke) of Crown Point; son: Chris Oxford of Greenfield; father: John Cole of Martinsville;brother: John N. Cole; and grandchildren: Chloe, Jack, Evelyn and Fiona.

Paula is preceded in death by her mother: Alberta Cole.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 12 noon Sunday, August 10th at the Pagoda at Garfield Park in Indianapolis. Cremation services were entrusted to Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center in Morgantown.

Paula was the sweetest person ever!! She was loved by tons and will be remembered by many.. I have so many memories with her and the family that I will cherish forever! I will truely miss her beautiful soul and love!! She made a huge impact on my life as well as many others!! You were taken too soon, physically, but mentally and spiritually she will never fade away!! I will always love Paula and the Oxford family as my own!! <3 RIH lovely lady!! Until we meet again!!
