Paul A. Williams, age 76 passed away peacefully Wednesday evening, December 25, 2013 at his home in Morgantown. He faithfully served his family as a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather. Paul loved his church family and was a true servant of God. He will be missed by all of those who he touched through friendship and ministry.
Paul was born on January 30, 1937 in Gosport, to the late Wendell and Ruth (Robertson) Williams. He attended school in Gosport and went on to marry Margo L. "Midge" Allen on September 5, 1958 in Gosport. She preceded him in death on June 11, 2012 after 53 years of marriage.
Paul is survived by his children: Sheryl (Jim) Graham of Solsberry, Terry (Julie) Williams of Greenwood, Tammy (Vern) Snyder of Morgantown and Brian (Brooke) Williams of Greenwood. He will be remembered by his two sisters: Janet (Bill) Bryant and Debbie (Mark) Mitchum both of Morgantown; and seven grandchildren: Nathan, Lacey, Jared, Taylor, Amber, Nicholas and Link.
Paul is preceded in death by his parents, wife, and one brother: Odus Williams.
He retired in 1998 from Hickman Trailer Sales in Morgantown after many years of service. Paul was a 50 year member of The General Assembly and Church of the First Born in Morgantown. He was very active in the church and served as an Elder for 40 years. He enjoyed travelling with his wife and spreading God's words to other churches throughout the county. Paul was a fan of Indiana University Men's Basketball.
Brother's Jeff Parker and Roger Bunch will conduct a funeral service 10:30 a.m. Monday at Meredith – Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry St. in Morgantown. Friends may call from 4 to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be at East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown.
