Patricia A. (Bolton) Knapp-Shinn, age 67, passed away peacefully on Monday morning, March 20, 2017 at her home in Indianapolis.
She was born February 7, 1950 in Brown County, to the late Roy and Audrey (Leggins) Bolton. Patricia grew up surrounded by brothers and sisters in Brown County. She moved to Indianapolis in 1978.
She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Richard L. “Rick” Shinn, whom she married on August 12, 1989 in Indianapolis. Patricia is also survived by her children, Patrick (Joyce) Knapp, Corina Armstrong, Richard (Beth) Knapp, Elizabeth Knapp and Suzann (Aaron) Smith; step children, Amanda Wilson, Derrick Shinn and Kelly Lundy; siblings, Lorna Miller, Charlotte Kay Hughes, Beverly (John) Campbell, Donna Terrell and Lory Craig and William Bolton; grandchildren; Chrissy and Donny Knapp, Melinda Fox, Jeanette Key, Destinee and Alisha Olney, Justen Knapp, Marra Cromer, Gage and Reva Regener, Zachary, Allison, Noah, Rachel, Emily, Jeremiah and Lauren Smith; five great grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.
Patricia was preceded in death by siblings, Roy and Ronald Bolton, Dorothy Newton, Linda Bolton and Rose Fluharty.
She enjoyed being with her grandchildren, friends and her little dogs. Patricia enjoyed growing vegetables and flowers in her back yard garden, reading books and conquering the daily crossword puzzle.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Thursday, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Faith Full Gospel Church, 6881 N. St. Rd. 135 in Brown County. Funeral services have been entrusted to Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center in Morgantown.
Memorial contributions may be sent in honor of Patricia to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
