Rosemary E. ‘Rosie’ Wininger, age 86, passed away Tuesday afternoon, June 4, 2019 at her home in Martinsville. She was a former resident of Indianapolis.
Rosie was born January 24, 1933 in Indianapolis. She retired in 2012 from Precision Ring Inc. in Indianapolis where she worked in the Tool Crib for over 22 years. Prior to that, Rosie worked in the Radiology Department at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis for 14 years.
She married John William Nordholt on October 14, 1967 in Indianapolis. He preceded her in death on January 23, 1989 after 21 loving years of marriage. Rosie went on to marry James Wininger on November 29, 1991. He preceded her in death on May 3, 2006. She was also preceded in death by several siblings and a great grandson, Andrew Ellis.
Rosie is survived by her children, Ellen Frye of Martinsville and Joe (Terri) Alderson of Titusville, Florida; grandsons, Dave (Poppy) Miller of Morgantown and Steven Miller of Indianapolis; and great grandchildren, Bailey, Dylan and Dustin Miller and Steven Miller Jr.
She was a member of the Mars View Christian Church in Indianapolis where she was the pianist for several years. Rosie enjoyed spending time with her family, listening to Christian music and was a fan of the Indianapolis Colts.
The Rev. Mike England will conduct a graveside service on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Lincoln Memory Gardens Cemetery in Whitestown. An evening of visitation will be on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown.
