Karen (Wray) Knapp, age 80 of Trafalgar, passed away peacefully on Friday morning, March 1, 2019 at Franklin Meadows Senior Living Community.
Karen was born June 2, 1938, in Franklin, to her parents, the late Jessie B. and Ollie B. (Lutes) Wray. Karen was a 1956 graduate of Franklin High School. She went on to marry Max Eugene Knapp on October 9, 1957 in Franklin. He lovingly survives after 61 devoted years of marriage.
Karen was a loving wife, mother, homemaker and caretaker. She enjoyed tending to her flower and vegetable gardens, cooking and spending time with her family.
Karen is survived by her husband, Max; children, Kelly Jo (Bruce) Shelley of Indianapolis and Kimberly Ann Knapp of Franklin, brother: Verlin (Kay) Wray of Morgantown and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Sharell Floyd.
The Rev. Ed Tharpe will conduct a graveside service on Monday, April 8th at 1 p.m. at First Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Franklin. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center in Morgantown.
