July 16, 1931 - December 1, 2018

Betty J. (Roberts) Snider, age 87, passed away peacefully on Saturday evening, December 1, 2018 at her home in Morgantown. She was a former resident of Brown County.

She was born July 16, 1931, in Johnson County, to her parents, the late Andrew J. and Cora E. (Bailey) Roberts.  Betty attended school in Helmsburg and went on to marry Marvin L. Snider on December 24, 1948 in Brown County.  He preceded her in death on September 19, 1996 after 47 loving years of marriage.

Betty was also preceded in death by siblings, Jack and Ronnie Roberts; and a son in law, James ‘Jim’ Burke.

She is survived by her children, James ‘Jim’ (Arlinda) Snider of Trafalgar, Vickie Burke of Morgantown, Paul Wray (Deborah) Snider of Franklin, Keith Snider of Morgantown, Richard (Sarah) Snider of Morgantown, Kathy (Steve) Robar of Greenwood;  brother, James Lloyd (Mary) Roberts of Franklin; 18 grandchildren; several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Betty was a loving wife, mother and homemaker. She was a member of the Morgantown General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn in Morgantown since 1957. Betty was known for always caring for family and friends in need. She enjoyed embroidering, playing cards and creating beautiful drawings with colored pencils. Betty was a fan of the Indianapolis Colts, Professional Wrestling and game shows.

Bro. Roger Bunch will conduct a funeral service on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Brown County.

I love and miss you SO much grandma but with that being said I am so happy for you that you're are with grandpa and uncle Jim Burke and everyone else. I know they was all so happy to see you and that you all are watching over us. I have been thinking of all the wonderful times we had together and boy has it really brought back some wonderful memories. I know you have loved me since I was born but I have LOVED you my whole life and always will.
