Mrs. Beatrice E. "Bea" Harding

Beatrice E. “Bea” (Fraser) Harding, age 73, passed away Friday evening, May 25, 2018 at the Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin. She was a resident of Lamb Lake in Trafalgar.

Bea was born September 14, 1944, in Buffalo, New York. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Eastern Kentucky University and a Master’s Degree from Butler University.

Bea married John Richard Harding on August 24, 1968.

Before retiring in 2000, she was employed by Indianapolis Public Schools for 32 years. Her teaching career also included coaching tennis at Arsenal Technical High School and girl’s volleyball and basketball at Northwest High School.

She is survived by her spouse, John Richard Harding and two sons, John F. Harding & Derrick S. Harding; grandchildren, Andrew, Megan, Emma and Hannah.

Family and friends are invited to an Open House on Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. at 8353 S. Jurist Lane in Trafalgar to celebrate the life of Bea. Services have been entrusted to Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center in Morgantown.

Memorial contributions may be sent in honor of Bea to the School of Education at Eastern Kentucky University, 521 Lancaster Avenue Richmond, KY 40475 or the School of Education at Butler University, 4600 Sunset Avenue Indianapolis, IN 46208.
