Norman R. Gregory, age 76, passed away Tuesday evening, October 16, 2018 at Hickory Creek at Franklin. He was a resident of Columbus and a former resident of Muncie and Greencastle.

Norman was born August 24, 1942 in Indianapolis and raised by his mother, Wilma Pauline (Schroeder) Gregory and his step-father, Garland W. “John” Rasdall. He was a 1960 graduate of Trafalgar High School where he was active in FFA and showing cattle as a member of Johnson County 4-H. Norman went on to attend Purdue University in Lafayette.

Norman retired in 1993 from the Capsule Manufacturing Department of Eli Lily and Company after 30 years of service. He was a member of the Jar Community Church in Muncie and a former member of the New Providence Church in Greencastle, where he was an active Deacon and taught Bible studies.

When it came to working with wood, Norman was a skilled carpenter. He is also survived by his children, Bonni (Charlie) Whitewater of Boise, ID, Shelli (Robert) Wells of Vicksburg, MS, Vonda (Chris) Smith of Laveen, AZ, Dawn (Chris) Ross of Seymour and Deana Gregory (Deana Fagan) of Wilmington, DE; sister, Janet (Kenneth) Haste of Trafalgar; 13 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
