Mr. James F. "Jim" Branham

January 11, 1938 - January 28, 2018

James F. “Jim” Branham, age 80, passed away Sunday morning, January 28, 2018 at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis. He was a resident of Franklin.

Jim was born January 11, 1938, in Indianapolis, to the late Morris and Maude (Abney) Branham. He was a 1955 graduate of Huron High School in French Lick and went on to serve as a Private First Class with the 602 MP Guard Company of the United States Army.

Jim retired in 2004 from the Maintenance Department of St. Francis Hospital in Beech Grove after 34 years of service. He was a 50 year of the Nineveh Masonic Lodge and a former member of the Morgantown General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn and the Prospect Street Masonic Lodge.

Jim enjoyed traveling to the Great Smoky Mountains with his wife and fishing. He was a fan of the Indianapolis Colts and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Jim is survived by his wife of 60 years, Carolyn M. (Roller) Branham, whom he married on October 5, 1957 in Indianapolis. He is also survived by his children, Connie Ray of Franklin, Timothy (Tammy) Branham and Philip Branham both of Gosport, John (Pam) Branham of Brown County and Travis Branham of Franklin; brothers, Aaron (JoAnn) Branham of Whiteland and Larry Branham of Morgantown; 13 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Bro. Stan White will conduct a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Meredith – Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home.  Burial will be at East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown with military rites presented by the Mooresville American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars Honor Guards.

Memorial contributions may be sent in honor of Jim to the American Cancer Society, 5635 W. 96th St. Ste. 100, Indianapolis, IN 46278.
