Martha L (Darling) Eastwood

February 11, 1925 - November 6, 2012

Martha L. (Darling) Eastwood, age 87 passed away Tuesday morning, November 6, 2012 at her home in the beautiful hills of Nashville.

She was born February 11, 1925 in Lafayette to the late James R. & Nancy E. (Cox) Darling. Martha married William H. Eastwood on December 2, 1944 in Lafayette. He survives after sixty-seven loving years.

Martha was a devoted wife, homemaker and mother to nine children: June Hutchison of Bloomington, JoAnn Clephane of Morgantown, Patricia Huffman of Martinsville, Leota Hudson of Franklin, William M. Eastwood of Crossville, Tenn, Robert E. Eastwood of Anderson, Wesley S. Eastwood of Columbus, David B. Eastwood of Nashville & Michael A. Eastwood of Nashville. She will be remembered by her thirty-eight grandchildren, sixty-eight great grandchildren & twenty-three great-great grandchildren.

Martha was preceded in death by two sisters: Marjorie Smith & Dorothy Morinski; seven brothers: Charles "Dick" Gallagher, Ralph L., Bernard, David, William, James & John Darling.

She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Martinsville and enjoyed working in her flower gardens and watching & feeding the birds.

A gathering to Celebrate Martha's Life will be held on Sunday, November 11th from 1 to 3 pm ather residence, 5434 Three Notch Road in Nashville. Arrangements have been entrusted to Meredith – Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center in Morgantown.
