Marjorie M (Schultz) Baird

February 13, 1935 - March 11, 2016

Marjorie M. (Schultz) Baird, age 81, passed away peacefully on Friday morning, March 11, 2016 at her home in Nashville. She was a former resident of Millersburg, Ohio.

Marjorie was born on February 13, 1935, in Genoa, Illinois, to the late Fred H. and Agnes A. (Mueller) Schultz. She attended Dundee High School in Dundee, IL and went on to marry Lloyd E. Baird on October 17, 1954 in Dundee. Marjorie was retired from Owens of Illinois in Berlin Ohio as an Inspector.

Marjorie loved life and brightened the day of everyone she met with her spunky personality. She spoke fondly of her life in Millersburg, Ohio where she lived until her move to Brown County in 2001. She was a former member of the American Legion, Post #192 and the Bowling Association, both in Millersburg.

Marjorie was an avid bowler and proud of the merit awards and trophies that her league won. She enjoyed reading James Patterson and Danielle Steele novels, visiting the local casinos and going to Las Vegas to play the slots. Marjorie was a 40+ year fan of Days of Our Lives and a fan of the Chicago Bears, Jeff Gordon with NASCAR & golfer Phil Mickelson. In later years, she kept busy making beaded jewelry which she often gave as gifts to family and friends. Marjorie felt blessed to spend her later years in scenic Brown County with her daughter and granddaughter.

Marjorie will be missed by her children: Michael S. (Ruby) Baird of Millersburg, OH, Maureen (Tim) Bauer of Morgantown and Mark (Karen) Baird, of Millersburg, OH; grandchildren: Mindy (Robert) Weddle of Nashville, Chandra Farner of West Salem, OH, Dawn Shamp of Millersburg, OH, Samuel, Rachel and Daniel Baird all of Millersburg, OH; and eight great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd; siblings, Dorothy Smith and Richard F. Schultz; and an infant granddaughter, Erin Beth Baird.

In keeping with Marjorie's wishes, a private family gathering will be held in Millersburg, Ohio at a later date. Cremation services have been entrusted to Meredith – Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center in Morgantown.

Memorial contributions may be sent in honor of Marjorie to the IU Health Hospice, 619 W. First St. Bloomington, IN 47403.

My sincerest condolences to Maureen,Mike, Mark & Mindy and all the Bairds on the loss of your mother/grandmother. She was a good friend to both Catherine and myself for a long, long time, She will be missed, but I'm sure that she is happy to be reunited with Lloyd. RIP, Marge -RIP.

I send my sincerest sympathy to Maueen, Mike, Mark and Mindy on the loss of their mother/grandmother. She was a loyal friend of Catherine and myself for more years than i can remember. She will be missed by her many friends in Millersburg, Ohio and in the ranks of Owens-Illinois where both she and Llod worked for so many years. RIP Marge, RIP!
