From 1946 until I left for college in 1956, Lawrence was our next door neighbor on St Rd 252. Then from 2010 to 2013 I lived across the road from him with his cousin, Dale Mitchell--my brother-in-law. For a few weeks in 2013 were were just doors apart at the Methodist Community for physical rehabilitation. I learned his wry humor and we had some great conversations on a daily basis, learning history of our two families. We talked by phone even after I moved out of state. I came to appreciate him was introduced to his children and families. He did many things to help out my widowed mother and for those, I'M GRATEFUL. My heartfelt sympathy to all his family--he let me know how much he loved each of you! Glad to have known Lawrence, Larry R. Allen
