Judith Ann "Judy" (Branam) Byrum, age 77, passed away Tuesday morning, March 17, 2015 at the Brown County Health & Living Community in Nashville. She was a resident of Brown County and a former resident of Indianapolis.
Judy was born May 17, 1937 in Bloomington, to her parents, the late Thomas E. and Mary Ruby (Morrison) Branam. She was a 1955 graduate of Bloomington High School and went on to retire in 1990 as a Buyer for Allison Transmission in Indianapolis. Beginning in 1985, she was also the co-owner of the Home Place, a family business in Plainfield, which offered antiques, dollhouse miniatures and home décor. After retirement, Judy attended IUPUI to study nursing.
Judy enjoyed many travels throughout the United States, Canada and her beloved Ireland for business as well as pleasure. She was an accomplished cook and loved to share her unique dishes with family. She had a wide variety of interests including antiques, music, photography, writing and theatre. A devoted daughter, she cared for her parents for many years.
Judy is survived by her daughter: Donna (Mark) Partridge of Brown County; grandchildren: Sarah and Hannah Partridge both of Brown County, Marianne Owens of Indianapolis and Tom (Jamie) Owens of Pittsboro; great grandchildren: Jordan Sullivan of Bloomington and Olivia Owens of Pittsboro.
Private family funeral services have been entrusted to Meredith – Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center in Morgantown.
