Juanita L. "Pug" (Stinson) Ford, age 81 passed away Sunday afternoon, June 7, 2015 at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis. She was a resident of Nashville.
Pug was born in Indianapolis on September 11, 1933, to her parents, the late George and Nettie (Stinson) Stinson. She graduated from Helmsburg High School in 1950 and went on to marry Hareld E. Ford on March 24, 1951 in Brown County. He preceded her in death on December 6, 2011after 60 devoted years of marriage. Pug retired in 1999 as the Kitchen Supervisor for the Indiana Masonic Home in Franklin after more than thirty years of service.
Pug is survived by her daughters: Sandy Eastwood of Nashville and Brenda Cochran of Edinburgh; grandchildren: Eric Eastwood of Nashville and Nolan Eastwood of Trafalgar, Brandi (Farley) Harper of Nashville and Keirsh (Christie) Cochran of Ft. Wayne; great grandchildren: Brianna and Colten Harper, Haley, Levi, Aurora, Owen, Ryder, Seth and Annaleigh Eastwood; and a sister in law: Helen Ford of Franklin.
She was preceded in death by a brother in law: James A. Ford, siblings: Dorotha Caviness and Virginia Kashner of Greenwood.
Pug enjoyed spending time and spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a fan of the Lifetime Channel and black and white movies. Pug was known for her cooking, crocheting and love for sunflowers.
The Rev. Darrell Cochran will conduct a funeral serviceat 10:30 a.m. on Friday at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. Friends may call from 4 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Nineveh Cemetery.
