Joseph A Satter

September 23, 1953 - February 14, 2013

Joseph A. "Joe" Satter, age 59 passed on Thursday morning, February 14, 2013 at the Wesley Health Care Center in Auburn, IN. He was a life-long resident of Morgantown.

Joe was born on September 23, 1953 in Franklin to the late William L. & Frieda Faye (McLary) Satter. He was a 1973 graduate of Indian Creek High School and went on to serve with the United States Army. Joe married Lynette Fowler on September 26, 1997 in Nashville. She lovingly survives.

Also surviving are his daughters: Michelle Fleener & Amy Satter both of Trafalgar and Robin Smith of Morgantown. He will be remembered by his sister: Sherrie Bud of Greenwood; two brothers: Tony Satter of California & Gary (Linda) Satter of Brown County; four grandchildren & one great grandchild.

Joe was preceded in death by a sister: Donna Parsons.

Joe worked as a roofer for Bud Baily Construction in Morgantown. He was a fan of baseball and enjoyed fishing, hunting and socializing with his family and friends.

The Rev. Matt Satter will conduct a funeral service on Tuesday at 7 pm at Meredith – Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. Friends may call from 5 pm until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home.

So Sorry for your loss, Joe was a classmate of mine from ICHS and same Graduating class of 1973! He was a good guy and always had a smile and could always make you laugh! Prayers for family and friends that knew Joe! Once you met him you would not forget him! Best Regards Effie Fitzpatrick

Such sad news to hear of the passing of Joe. We have almost a whole lifetime of memories. I had not seen him for a few years but thought of him often. Prayers are with his family.
