Janice Kay (Burns) Allison

April 7, 1939 - April 1, 2017

Janice Kay (Burns) Allison, age 77, passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, April 1, 2017 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana in Columbus. She was a resident of Bean Blossom.

She was born on April 7, 1939, in Johnson County, to Conrad and Ernestine (Noel) Burns. Janice was a 1957 graduate of Union Township High School. She married John Allison on July 23, 1974 in Johnson County.  He preceded her in death on February 13, 2005.

Janice was retired from Wray Produce in Morgantown where she worked as a manager for ten years. She enjoyed being on her computer, working in her flower & vegetable gardens, crocheting and was an avid fan of drag racing.

Janice is survived by her children, Lisa Simpson of Louisiana, Roger (Lori) Stickford of Nashville and Kenny (Amor) Stickford of Bloomington; step children, David Allison, Leslie Allison and Stephanie (Mark) Wogerman all of Kokomo and Ann (Ron) Worley of Georgia; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Lyle Burns and a brother, Jackie Burns.

The Rev. Ed Tharpe will conduct a funeral service on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Meredith – Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center located at 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Nebo Memorial Park Cemetery in Martinsville.

Memorial contributions can be made in honor of Janice to the Brown County Humane Society, PO Box 746, Nashville, IN 47448.

Lisa, I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of you Mother. Believe me, I know it's the hardest thing to go through. (It will be 12 years in November that my mom passed away).
