Gary Kevin Deal

November 7, 1951 - May 25, 2016

Gary Kevin Deal, age 64, passed away all too soon on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at the IU Health Hospice House in Bloomington. He was a resident of Nashville and former resident of Wanamaker.

Gary was born November 7, 1951, in Indianapolis to the late Roland and Ellen (Zimmerman) Deal. He worked as a semi-driver for Overnight Transportation for 25 years and worked for Walmart until retiring in 2012. He married Deborah Young in 1977 in Indianapolis. She preceded him in death on March 31, 2016 after 39 devoted years of marriage.

Gary enjoyed retirement by hunting, playing guitar and fishing. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He will be dearly missed by his children: Megan (Robert) Lucas, Gari Hobbs, Daniel (Trina) Deal; stepchildren: Daniele Coe, Douglas (Linda) Coe; siblings: Eliena Deal & Roland (Charlie) Deal; grandchildren: Garrett, Dylan, Samantha, Haylee, Brennan, Delaney, Connor, Kevin, Kaylee, Sullivan, and Clayton.

He was preceded in death by his wife Deborah, parents Roland & Ellen and brother: Lawrence “Larry” Deal.

The Rev. Brandy Pedigo will conduct a Memorial Service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 1st service at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. Friends may call from 1p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
