Earl E. Dunning, age 80, passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at his home in North Fort Myers, Florida. He was a former resident of Morgantown.
Earl was born November 18, 1932 in Bloomington to the late Oral and Kathryn (Martin) Dunning. He served as a Corporal in the United States Army during the Korean War. Earl was retired from the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 103 in Indianapolis as a Heavy Equipment Operator.
Before retiring in Florida, Earl enjoyed working on his farm raising crops and cattle. He also enjoyed traveling, fishing woodworking and was always there to help others as a handyman.
Earl is survived by his wife: Patty Dunning of North Fort Myers, FL; one daughter: Diana (Ed) Willis of Columbus; two sons: Dewayne (Tina) Dunning of Martinsville & Delbert (Sabrina) Dunning of Trafalgar; one brother: Harry (Anna) Dunning of Inverness, FL; and one sister: Imogene (Odell) Porter of Bloomington; four grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
Military Funeral Honors will be presented by the Martinsville American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars Honor Guards on Saturday afternoon at 5:00 p.m. at Meredith – Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. Friends may call from 2:00 p.m. until time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.
