Donald Seitzinger Sr

Died: February 19, 2015

Donald Seitzinger Sr., age 79 passed away Thursday evening, February 19, 2015, after a long illness. He was a resident of Crown Point,and formerly of Merrillville.


Don was born June 13, 1935, in Gary, to the late Claremond and Dorothy (Brusven) Seitzinger. He was a 1953 graduate of Gary Edison High School. Don is survived by his wife of 59 years, Rosemarie (Moore).


Don retired in 1999 from Ford Motor Company where he was a welder for 42 years. He was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs and Bears. Don was very active in his kids sporting activities; coaching many little league teams for his sons, and also coaching girls softball teams of his daughter.


Don will be missed by his wife, Rosemarie; children: Don (Joy) Seitzinger Jr. of Crown Point, Kimberly Seitzinger and Scott Seitzinger, bothof Valparaiso; grandchildren: Don (Jenn) Seitzinger III of Mission Viejo, CA, Jennifer (Don) Woodard of Chandler, AZ, Megan Seitzinger and Abbie Seitzinger, bothof Crown Point; great-grandchildren: Dylan Rose Seitzinger, Hunter Seitzinger and Caden Woodard; and brother: Dick (Helen) Seitzinger of Demotte.


Donald was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law: Linda McBride.


A private memorial service will be conducted at a later date. Cremation Services have been entrusted with Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center in Morgantown.
