Diana K (Schoolcraft) Satter

Diana K. (Schoolcraft) Satter, age 71 passed away peacefully on Thursday morning, June 6, 2013 at her home in Martinsville.

She was born in Martinsville on February 5, 1942 to the late Clarence and Ina Glee (Vibbert) Schoolcraft. Diana was a 1960 graduate of Martinsville High School and went on to marry David M. Satter on August 5, 1961 at the Morgantown Baptist Church. He preceded her in death on November 23, 2004 after 43 devoted years of marriage.

Diana was a loving homemaker and mother to her three children: Dena K. (Lewis) Burkett of Morgantown; Dawna M. Satter of Indianapolis and David R. Satter of Martinsville. She will be remembered by her siblings: Kitsy Tapp and Robin Schoolcraft both of Martinsville; and five grandchildren: Ashley Satter, Reece Satter & Adam Satter all of Martinsville, Brandy Burkett of Morgantown and Brittany Burkett of Greenwood; and one great grandson: Emery Hickman of Morgantown.

She was preceded in death by one brother: Duane Schoolcraft.

Diana was known for her baking of cherry & pecan pies and homemade chicken n' noodles. She was a fan of the Indianapolis Colts with her favorite players being Jeff Saturday and Peyton Manning. Diana loved spending time with her family, working in her flower gardens and collecting Boyd's Bears.

Diana's wishes were to be cremated with a private family service and interment at East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown. Cremation services have been entrusted to Meredith – Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center in Morgantown.

Memorial contributions may be sent in honor of Diana to the Riley Children's Foundation, 50 S. Meridian Street Suite 500, Indianapolis, IN 46204.
