Sarah "Shalea" Ranee (Harris) Jones

Sarah “Shalea” Ranee (Harris) Jones, age 30 passed all too soon on Thursday morning, March 14, 2024. She was a resident of Brown County.

Shalea was born February 16, 1994 in Indianapolis. She was a 2012 graduate of Brown County High School and was working at Subway in Nashville for the past year. Shalea will be remembered for her love of God and for her family. She enjoyed walking in the woods, watching crime documentaries and looking for great finds at yard sales or dumpster diving. Her true passion was caring for her children and spending as much time as possible with them.  

Shalea is survived by her loving husband, Travis K. Jones, whom she married on October 10, 2023 in Brown County. She is also survived by her mother and step-father, Shannon Harris &  Rick Farris both of Brown County; grandmothers, Almeda Harris of Brown County and Ruby Hartman of Morgantown; children, Peyton Parker, Johnathon, Lucas and Jaylen Blevins; siblings, Chanda Danelle of Illinois, Chelsea (Sam) Gatley of Illinois, Nathan Harris of Morgantown, Sean Harris-Rudd of Morgantown, Seth Rudd of Sweetwater; Jason Farris and Jeremy Farris both of Morgantown; aunts & uncles, Carri (Tony) Spires of Nashville, Jesse Harris, Jabez (Jocelyn) Harris, Jordan Harris & Chelsea Black; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.  

Shalea was preceded in death by her grandfather, Michael Harris; and an uncle, Sean Harris.

Friends may call from 5 - 7 p.m. on Monday, March 18th, 2024 at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home: 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. Pastor Cory Joy will  conduct a funeral service at 7 p.m. following the visitation.
